A colourful lineup of CP units, with UP 5511 and CP 9592 trailing. With power like this, I believe this train is headed for Fort Saskatchewan. In my observations so far, the pairs of GP38's seem to stay around the Edmonton area doing switching/spotting chores. I'm with Colin Arnot's post today, he mentioned a lack of trains this morning. This is the only movement I saw, the CN section guys were busy working on the track west of Clover Bar yard. Not usually a good sign that anything will be passing by soon.

  1. Thanks Brad. You’re right, the 1050 is not going to win any beauty contests looking like that. :-) It makes me think of 5 o’clock shadow and time for a shave.

I forgot to include the time of this photo which was 9:10.

  2. 1050 sure needs a bath! nice shot.
