With the 2000 number series being resurrected and assigned to former UP C40-8s, here's a shot of the motive power that previously carried those numbers, MLW C630s.This is train 401 backing out of Hamilton yard to Bayview Jct., where it will head west on the Dundas Subdivision to Sarnia. Somewhere between the two cities they will meet their eastbound counterpart 402, and the crews will swap trains.Eventually, someone at Hamilton yard suggested building the train in a manner that negated the backup move, and after that 401 went straight up the cowpath. It made sense for the railroad, but it meant we didn't get two chances to shoot it.
