This is 774 departing Swan Landing. This train is supposed to be sand empties, but it looks like they picked up some extra cargo on the head end. Only a single locomotive on this train - think it was about 6500ft if I remember right.

Got a tip from another railfan this consist was headed out on the Westlock sub. I headed up to Morinville as I've shot from this location before and knew the sun would be decent. Was surprising to see this much power on this sub. Apparently it was a power move, but all units seemed be be running.

CN 419 approaching Busby Alberta on the Westlock subdivision. After hearing some activity on the Dunvegan subdivision while watching Walker Yard we decided to head north and see what we could find. After seeing this lashup roll through Morvinville we chased it further north to this location.
