Just as the sun is going down, the CN Windsor local is seen here heading west towards CN's Van de Water Yard with a GT unit on the lead. It is quite a rare appearance to see these units down in Windsor, so I took my chances and shot him from the expressway. I'd say it was worth it.

CN A439, making a rare daylight run, is hurrying into the city as Via 73 races directly behind him. Lately CN's trains to Windsor have begun to increase heavily in freight, with today's 439 being 102 cars long. These long trains have forced CN to send down much more interesting power, as last week's 438 had CN's 15th anniversary unit, 2124.

Night pan! After being delayed for 25 minutes in Glencoe, ON, Via 79 finally pulls into Chatham and arrives at the Via Station, which is just west from here.

Here we have CN YVWS-02 (CN's Windsor Local) with CN 7046 & 7081 (GP9RMs) rounding the Pelton curve, and heading north towards CP's Walkerville JCT. Eventually this train would have take a stop before taking the wye at Walkerville, since CN A438 would only be 9 minutes ahead of them waiting for the clear to cross over the CP Windsor Sub.
