I just found a bunch of old B&W negatives from a clandestine trip I made to Toronto Union Station back when I was 20 years old. Yes, I snuck in (very stupid thing to do) to take photographs in the late evening. I'll post a few more as I get the scans done. I will say, I walked around the platforms for about an hour with a camera on a tripod and was never questioned - which surprised me, but it was very quiet at that time. This shot is of FP9a 6512 at the head of a three car consist, I don't know which train this was. It was about 9pm.

A Tempo consist backs towards Union station from Spadina. I'm guessing it's backing up from the exhaust. Lots of cranes at work on the Toronto skyline, and I love the old baggage cars!

Another Spadina shot. Early 1970's is the best I can do for the date. The Toronto skyline is just a wee bit different now.....

This is my first time posting. I just found a large set of prints that my father, Aron, took in and around Toronto in the early 1970's. Mostly CN but some CP as well. The image quality is not the best but there are some great old photos here and if the group likes them I will keep scanning them and posting. This is one of many from Spadina roundhouse where I remember going as a small kid and being somewhat terrified of all the big loud locomotives. There was a stairway right off the Spadina Rd. bridge and you could just walk right down to the roundhouse. Those were the days!
