The Sumas local heads out from Poco yard with GP38AC 3011 and GP38-2 4400 and 3 hopper cars for interchange with SRY. Its rare to see the Sumas local nowadays with 2 GP38s and lately the power has been 2 SD40-2s or a SD40-2 and a GP38.

CP 3001 and 3029 switch the Vancouver Intermodle terminal. I last saw 3001 a year ago at this same location, but then it still had its classic CP rail paint scheme. 3029 is an unusual visitor but with many of the Vancouver based GP38ACs being rebuilt other units have had to fill their place.

SRY 128 sits in Wellcox yard on the Esquimalt & Nanaimo railway while its counterpart GP9 119 is working the parksville turn. The past few years have been turbulent for the E&N as in 2011 VIA service was suspened due to tie conditions. SRY & the Island corridor foundation who owns the line secured the funding for the infastructure upgrades. Thes funds were secured but can only be accesed once VIA agrees to bring back service. The ICF & SRY are currenly negotiating a new service plan for vancouver island.
