Classic (in recent years) VIA train combination - P42 Genesis and 4 Budd cars head slowly towards Windsor, with a rapidly approaching GO Transit Hamilton Express overtaking. Very hot day, with slow orders in place. The GO and VIA trains already heavily delayed, 25 miles out from Toronto. Taken at the exit to Oakville Yard at Chartwell Road.

A candidate for the railway modeller's 'prototype for everything' department. Recently repainted CN GP38 #4950 leads rebuilt GP9 #4131 Eastbound up the Halton sub on a local on an May afternoon. The consist includes 4 gons, a centre spine flat car and a box car, presumably headed for industry around Milton. In the age of heavily silenced SD70s etc, these two old-timers were making a glorious noise as they plodded east.

VIA Rail GE Genesis #902 leads 5 stainless steel cars onto the Dundas sub at Bayview Junction, with an evening train from Toronto, headed for London, Ontario. Not many GEs remain in the teal and grey livery.
