With a late departure of 18:00 instead of the usual 09:55 this made for good lighting of VIA 1 "The Canadian" as they make way up the Bala Sub towards Langstaff GO Station passing what is left of trees that once lined the tracks that have been cut down to make way for the construction of the Yonge North subway extension that has since not made this exact type of shot possible due to track realignment and fencing.

Due to a closure of the MX Kingston Sub on this weekend for planned construction, VIA Trains had to detour along the MX Bala Sub and CN York Sub in order to travel between Liverpool and Union Station however there was different routing with J trains 60/50 & 62/52 which was to take the MX Newmarket Sub and make a reverse move onto the CN York Sub at Snider and then head Eastwards while the rest of the corridor trains took the usual detour. After coming off of the North connecting track and taking 2 crossovers to the South track, VIA 62/52 J Train with set #11 and #18 "Lumi" are seen backing up past the dwarf signal in order to clear the controlled location to get their light Eastwards. This made for a rare shot of a corridor set in revenue service at a spot that usually only sees CN freight and VIA's "The Canadian".

On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the first locomotive ever to lead in Ontario with the new CPKC Livery number KCS 4805 the second unit to have been repainted with such paint scheme, leads a CPKC 113 as they head through SSS Palgrave on their way Northwards up the Mactier Sub after spending a while at VIT due to DPU issues. Note the KCS sublettering due to the CPKC roadname not being approved yet.

After being dropped off at the West end of the Malport service tracks from Chicago on Z148, what I assume is a 500 puller crew bringing what appear to be some leased passenger cars with CN wraps and all with "ZERO is Possible Stickers" bound for Halifax along with CN 3941 unto the North service track before backing into BIT to be put on Z120 later that night. The first car is painted in the Milwaukee Road scheme, the second is an ex-NYC car called "Swift Stream", third appears to be a classic CN one with the name "White Bear Lake", fourth is a dome car built for Western Pacific's California Zephyr with the name "Silver Palace" and the last one is a repainted heavyweight baggage car. The last 4 having RXCX reporting marks.
