CN L502 crosses the Grand River in Caledonia behind CN 3023 (EJE Heritage) and CN 2772 (ex CREX). The winds were high this morning and were kicking up the light snow that blankets the river. This is likely my last train of 2025, I would like to wish everyone a healthy and happy 2026.

The first Northlander passenger set is pictured passing through Copetown on CN P276. The train would tie down at Aldershot due to a work block on the Oakville Subdivision over the weekend. There will be 3 total trainsets for the ONR to bring back the Northern passenger service that was cancelled over a decade ago.

CN L580 slowly trundles across the Grand River in Caledonia behind CN 4960 (ex BNSF 2317) and CN 4906 (ex GMTX 2263). They have one hopper in tow from the Mattice Elevator in Hagersville. The small train today was on account of track work being done at CGC preventing them from working the plant.

CN 421 arrives at Stuart Street Yard in Hamilton behind CN 3975, CN 2782, CN 7025, KKIX 2001, LDSX 6089, LDSX 1597. They would set off the 7025 (CN Yard Jobs), KKIX 2001 (Port of Hamilton) and LDSX 6089 (Parkdale Steel Centre). The 1597 is headed for Thorold.

CN 8315 and CN 5712 lead CN 424 through Bayview Junction early on a nice sunny April morning. 8315 is a newly rebuilt SD75iACC and CN 5712 is an original SD75i. The shiny new paint sure looks good on these as the overall physical differences are subtle between the two.

CP 9017 and CP 6011 lead a loaded rail train down the Hamilton Subdivision on a sunny March afternoon. The train would spend the next few days dropping rail along the line. Of note, the 9017 was the SD40-2F that wore the BAR Heritage paint when it was owned by the CMQ.

CN 8328 and CN 8317 lead CN L502 across the Grand River in Caledonia. These two SD75iACC rebuilds are on what I believe was their second revenue run after bringing CN 492 into Sarnia last night. CN 8328 is the form CN 5707 and CN 8317 is the former CN 5664
