Yesterday, CP 119 hit the ground around mile 184.5 of the Belleville Subdivision. For those of you not familiar with the area, this is located in Ajax, ON between Westney Rd. and Church St, looking to the west. Crews have been working around the clock to clean up the aftermath of a decent-sized derailment. I drove around the area and could not believe the amount of trucks and workers on the scene. It truly is amazing to see how quick and effective these guys can be during the clean up process!

These days, CN is throwing whatever moves into a consist. This day was no exception as 5660, PRLX 204 and PRLX 203 pull 149's freight towards Toronto. The SD75 variant trio was certainly a sight to see and sounded fantastic!

After reducing at Smail and meeting 101 at Brechin, 318 proceeds south to Pine Orchard, where they'll meet a 105. With CN putting in an order for 200 more gevos, one has to believe that these units may be their final years.

CP 41B-28 rolls through Cherrywood. Nice to finally be able to knock this one off the bucket list.<br>Cherrywood was a popular location for everyone chasing this move, as it is typically the last shot of the day. There had to be close to 20 foamers on the embankment; both local and from all over. In addition to that, another 4-5 at the grade crossing and flying drones.<br>What most don't know (and I forgot to mention to those there) is that this shot will not be available much longer, as the City of Pickering plans to extend 3rd Concession to a new subdivision on the northeast side of the valley. The result being a new roadway that will span the valley directly north of the bridge (essentially between where I'm standing and where the tracks are).<br>So, be thankful for what you have, and take advantage of it while you can! I was very happy to have shot this one in my all-time favourite location along the Belleville Subdivision. I'm sure everyone there will appreciate their shots in a few years, once this is no more.

HLCX 4201 (Ex-Amtrak) leads a CP freight through Clifton hill in the summer of '97 or '98. My train obsession started when I was a young child, and my dad was very supportive of it. He always made sure to document some sort of railroad-related activity on our family vacations. The company which he recently retired from actually produced the signs for Ripley's, which is probably why he took this photo (two birds with one stone).
