Due to "Snowmageddon" having dumped 6+ feet of snow on the Buffalo, NY area over the past 2 days, rail service (and everything else) has ground to a near halt. Amtrak has suspended all service between Albany, Cleveland, and Toronto. Unable to enter New York, here we see VIA 97's equipment in the process of wying at Clifton, operating on the freight-only Stamford Sub in the process. It will then back into the station to await departure as VIA 98 in the evening. I'm surprised they didn't just bustitute. A few years ago this move was a daily occurance for VIA 95 (to become the next days number 90 (or 92 on Sunday)), but now the usually through Amtrak connections are the only VIA service.' height='150' width='200' />
