<title>Comments on: Cab Units: CN – ONR equally shared motive power assignment on the jointly operated trains #98 and 99, the overnight Northland. So every other day the CN Spadina Motive Power Shop hosted ONR units as they awaited the return trip on #99 the overnight Toronto to Cochrane – Kapuskasing daily train with through coach and sleeping car for ONR serviced Noranda / Rouyn P.Q. and through coach and sleeping car to ONR serviced downtown Timmins. The steam generator unit behind the second ONR F is coupled to a high speed geared CN GP40 (4016 or 4017) that Via leased for some time. In the background is the original Spadina Avenue overpass, complete with metal stairway to the CN Spadina Motive Power Shop. Upper right corner is the top of the then new Globe and Mail building.
