Comments on: Seventies super power MLW M636 2319 is coasting downgrade on the York Sub to Liverpool on the regularly eastbound scheduled Oshawa train with power and mixed freight for the Oshawa yard. Power includes MLW M-420W 35xx (or could be a BBD HR412W); two GP9RM 703x-70xx and two SW\’s on this cool April 1989 Sunday. Kodak Plus X Pan b&w negative film, ASA125.
The radiator section gives the second unit away as an M420W. They're moving quite a bit of yard power on this train, the GP9RM's I'd assume for Oshawa Yard, and the SW1200RS's for the old Oshawa Railway's industrial street trackage up to the old GM North Plants amongst other assignments.

Beyond the long gone power in this scene, today you'd score a great shot of trees at this angle as it's horribly overgrown. Really appreciate these great shots of the 80's and earlier, so many interesting operations and power long gone.
