Comments on: “Return to Temagami Ontario When Empty” stamped on CN “barrel” ore car #346074 is still visible as the iron-ore hopper awaits the scrappers torch at the CN S Yard in Vaughan, Ontario. The car was one of hundreds of freight cars that were scrapped at the yard, which was located at MacMillan Yard near the Highway 7 overpass. Today the yard is long gone, and the site is part of a large transload facility.

Mac Yard had one of those that was the scale test car.. I assume it’s still there. It is orange….52010 is the number IIRC.

I would have thought this was a scale test car.

At least one of these was saved for a scale test car no, but painted orange? I have photos of something similar.
