Comments on: 10 years ago, BNSF 5493 would have been the highlight ( or finally meeting Mr. Host). But today, nostalgia rules as 6028 and 5935 descend onto the Grand River bridge as they have done for the last 35+ years. I never thought I’d see SD40-2′s leading on CP again( and sure they look a little worse for wear in CP’s worst paint scheme; sweating the assets is still key), but a hot tip made this possible. Thanks Isaac

Well I got screwed a half hour done the line by Mile 81. The clouds blocked out the sun within a minute of it showing up, making my video of it very dark.

Screwed by clouds? there was no sun to be had at all. Which meant you didn't have to worry about sun angles :)

I shot it here with David then chased (rarely successful) toward home and got ahead of it due to the foreman. Two shots!

Very hard to do, almost impossible I must add. Between Killean and Puslinch the crews go as fast as humanely possible.

Arnold, welcome back BTW :)

You are welcome! Finally found this post again lol. Much nicer then the shot I got with my phone (which is all that I had at the time) but I got the beautiful horn. Seems that everyone west of Guelph Junction got screwed by clouds, and everyone east of there got it backlit. Nice shot!

Hahahahah, the highlight!! haha. Great to see you today. I did manage to catch up to it, a foreman had limits and 244 had to slow for him.. got ahead by a few minutes just west of puslinch. A great lunchtime catch. Here's to many more.
