Comments on: 1001 passes through the Allandale Waterfront GO station on its way back to Utopia. Parking for the GO station is to the right of the tracks. Normally the 160 spaces are full before the last morning train leaves. Today the lot only had 20 cars.

Thanks for the comments. The switch is always lined for the BCRY line. They operate Mondays and Thursdays coming in to Barrie around 9:30 and returning through town around 12 to 1 pm.

Eric, very nice picture, and up to date info on track and station layout at Allandale GO Station. Thanks for braving the snow, creates the right mood, with GP 1001 being nicely framed. Question, is the track switch in the foreground left open all the time, or will a crew member on 1001 close it ? Also, how many times a week does
1001 travel to Barrie ? Thank you very much for sharing.
