EMD products with build dates of 1975 and 2014 (SD40-2 CP 5690 & GP20C-ECO CP 2278) lead a long CP 253 (112 cars) through Lasalle Station with most of the train still over the St-Lawrence river and seaway. Of note is that 5690 was declared surplus in 2013 and ‘unretired’ in 2014.
