Comments on: A big smile from Jasper Just got home from a round trip on VIA 006 & 005 The Skeena this past week. The weather was spectacular on both days I spent in Jasper, and my smile was as big as the one on this CP auto rack that was parked in the CN yard.

I was thinking the same Don after spending several days in Jasper watching the incredible number of rail cars that had been tagged.
Most were painted as high as one could reach from the ground or on a foot stool, while a large number were painted from car deck to roof line!
A lot of effort, a lot of paint, and a lot of damage.
Tank cars in basic black don’t seem to be targets for the ‘artistes’.

One has to wonder how much time and paint this kind of effort takes. Too bad these “artists” don’t put their talent to better use.
