Comments on: A Dash 8-40CW leads train 402 at the railway crossing of l’Anse-au-Sable near Rimouski. Back then, these locomotives were very often assigned to our regional manifest freight trains. I once remember seeing the same 2 sets of 2 identical Dash 8s being assigned to 402 and 403 for nearly a whole month… I wasn’t a big fan of these locomotives so i didn’t railfan much during that time.

This spot is a pretty nice one with the S-curve and the hill in the background, i attempted to recreate this shot many times after but couldn’t get it quite right, i think the shrubs might have grown too much…

Your commentary makes me think back to some of those places I tell myself when I return I am going to try a certain different angle. And when I return; its all different. The trees are up, the weeds too thick, and nothing seems like I visualized it to be.
Some wild colour in this location. The trick is to be there at the right time, AND get some motive power to shoot.
