Comments on: A few weeks ago I posted a photo of a CN westbound passenger and one of the Turbo train detouring on CP’s Belleville Sub. at Bowmanville. Here we see the reason why as two CN ‘big hooks’ are working on a derailment about a mile east of Bowmanville which blocked both CN main liines. This view is looking west from just west of Bennet Road. The locomotive on the east end hook was 5553 and the Toronto hook working on the other end of the mess had 4563 and 4011 for power.

An interesting vantage point, Doug. Would make an excellent shot for morning eastbounds if it weren't for all those trees in the way now. And of course, the power transmission lines also get in the way of the view.
