Comments on: A mild March winter day..sees this “occasional” intermodal train 150 with all marine containers heading east with a trio of BNSF power. Anyone know what the origin /destination of this train was, the WB counterpart was 151; it disappeared quite some time ago.

Thanks for the input Michael and Tim; Tim I was sure I saw an EB all marine container intermodal one night this past summer…definitely was not 148 material.

For a long time 150 ran regularly on Wednesday nights – in 2001 when I lived in Sarnia I’d look for it on Wednesday evenings if it was early, but it could be Thursday morning if late – and sure enough this shot is from a Thursday morning! Was usually a nocturnal run through southwestern Ontario… 151 seemed to run a lot less and was often baretables…

Train came from the BNSF in Chicago. It was a runthrough right from Los Angeles. There were a handful of these trains over the spring/summer but they ran under the Q146 symbol instead.

150 was BNSF Corwith Yard to BIT as required according to 2007 trackside guide.
