Comments on: A northbound work train led by GP9 5138 and a singular railcar crosses Route 138, the only public railroad crossing on the railway. I do not know what is the purpose of the car trailing behind the locomotive, although it seems it was rebuilt from an old 52′ bulkhead flatcar. Moments earlier, a specialy built ambulance equiped with steel wheels and fully functionnal lightbars had just came down the line towards Havre-Saint-Pierre, i wish i had thought of taking a picture of that thing! Although if you want to check it out for yourself, you can search for ”Ambulance ferroviaire” on Google Images, where you should be able to find a picture of it taken from Demers Ambulances website.

@Stephen I’m not sure why they were renumbered with 2 extra digits, it seems like it happened when they got the 2 GP10s.
@Paul It sure is, i just wish they had more spots to observe them from! Would have been nice to railfan them back when Route 138 ran parallel to the railway.

QIT is a great place to visit. They have some very unique power, rolling stock, and MoW Work Equipment.
