Comments on: A pair of 1957-built GP9′s CP 8707 and 8705 are at rest, apparently outside the roundhouse at CP’s Lambton Yard (SW corner of Runnymede & St Clair) on 14 January 1962. The back of 1959-built SW1200RS CP8145 is also in the picture. Complaints about coal smoke emanating from the Lambton roundhouse lead to the installation of large numbers on the smoke jacks. Photos suggest they did show up from time to time in the east after that.
