Comments on: A photo I’ve been after for some time finally comes to fruition as a westbound CP train passes the very large, sprawling Lafarge plant at Zorra, Ontario while some searchlights hang on for dear life. I hope these survive into next year. I’ve been enamoured with Arnold’s photos of the Zorra station (photo 1) | (photo 2) and the corresponding St. Marys sub for some time – the station long gone, St. Marys sub gone by ’96 with a small stub, about a half mile of track left behind to service the plant. A neat area just a stones throw from the CN at Ingersoll, about a 8 minute drive. Note no map tonight, google has shit the bed and all google maps sites are broken right now. Google’s getting very very greedy and wants everyone to pay for maps use – I guess getting 50% of the ad revenue from this site isn’t enough.
