<title>Comments on: A railroad&#8217;s ability to reuse and adapt older, no longer needed, equipment for new uses and purposes can be amazing. Take CN 72026 for example: built by CC&amp;F in 1959 as a double deck auto transporter in the 720000 series. After the introduction of 89 foot bi and tri level auto racks, the car was converted to passenger train service (note the passenger trucks) in 1972 as part of CN&#8217;s car-go-rail program and renumbered to 9503. It was eventually converted again to work train service in 1993 as the 72026. The paint scheme on this car is rather unique as the &#8220;CN&#8221; is in the passenger red/orange paint versus the traditional white paint on other freight and work service cars.</title>
