<title>Comments on: A rare chance of a CN powered VIA train &#8211; CN Essentially ran a passenger train from Chicago to Montreal in about 36 hours,as CN P698. A journey that started in California four days earlier on September 25, the train consisted of the class leaders of VIA&#8217;s new Siemens fleet. Sitting in the front row of the class were VIA SC-40 2200, Business Class cars 2600 and 2700, regular coaches 2900 and 2800, cab car 2300, and locomotive 2210 which is (was?) labelled a SC-44. I&#8217;m still not sure why there are two different locomotive models here but informed sources are telling me one was labelled in error. A total of 32 trainsets are coming, and it would stand to reason a total of 32 locomotives are part of this deal with 30 locomotives and 31 trainsets left to be delivered. It&#8217;ll be yet seen if they run more of these dedicated trains for delivery or if this was expedited for commissioning, training and testing purposes for VIA staff. The contract is for $989M CDN and will absolutely change the look of VIA trains in the corridor. Get your shots folks!</title>
