Comments on: A short CN local powered by SW1200RS units 1320 and 1335 works in the industrial area of Brampton at Kennedy Road, seen here at the west end of the “Peel” interlocking where the double track main became single track, between here and Brampton East (Queen Street) to the west. This arrangement lasted into the late 2000′s when the Halton Sub was finally doubletracked through downtown Brampton (eliminating Brampton East, and moving Peel interlocking west to Centre Street).

There were dozens of customers in this area of Brampton west of Highway 410 receiving rail service at the time, including IKO Industries, General Latex, American Motors (AMC) Brampton Assembly, CIL (later Graphic Packaging), Canada Colours & Chemicals, and Argo Plastics.
