Comments on: A Toronto origninate 142 blasts through the signals guarding the Lens siding. I was quite lucky to tune into the online durham scanner to hear that 142 was being lead by 7023. This would mark the first time in months that an ACU lead on the Belleville. Most times crews wye the power or find other ways for the newer GEs to lead.

As far as I know (and coming from a friend) crews didn’t like them so management let them trail or be dp’d. One of the main reasons was only one distance meter compared to the 3 on an ac4400cwm.

Is there any particular reason why the ACU’s haven’t been leading as of recently? I understand they had computer issues last winter
but as far as I know that had been resolved.
