Comments on: A trio of BCOL 4600s lead a short train of OSB boxcars from the LP mill in Fort St John toward Dawson Creek to be unloaded, then reloaded with the same material after a finishing process was applied. This was during one of several slide-film-relapses I went through and was shot on a medium format camera (note the unusual aspect ratio), even in 2010 it cost close to $2 every time that shutter button was pressed. But a matching set of BC Rails on a perfect November morning was worth it.

Back in the day, a lot of the rail was 60 pound 39 foot stick. Eventually "upgraded" with used 85 pound rail 78 foot.I would image now the rail is heavier stuff. Never ever thought big 6 axle units would be used on the Dawson Creek switcher

It's great that you documented this one well Matt. And ironically had the last ever active one leading too!

Well, I sure know all about the costs of using a medium format camera. The outpouring of the moola really adds up but years later, down the road, it is truly worth it.
This shot is a real beauty. Stunning.
