Not sure about 6340, but I believe 6341 was being leased to CP back in the day, as I remember seeing photos of it kicking around online. Maine Northern is also owned by the Irvings. Not sure why it has its own entity, but it's basically NBSR. There's only a couple of units that are labelled Maine Northern. Not sure why, as they mostly travel on NBSR trains. CMQ was the line bought back by CP. Word from a reliable source of mine is CP will be running through potash trains to Saint John, so they will travel on NBSR tracks. Not sure if CP wants to buy NBSR, but NBSR isn't selling anytime soon.

Kinda sad 6340 lost it’s bloody nose, I remember shooting that as an HLCX when CP was leasing back then but any SD40’s running is a good one. Also what’s the deal with Main Northern instead of NBSR? And finally was this line being taken back from CP?

When NBSR had leased all these SD40s, it was nice seeing them in the consist when they first arrived, as you had a nice color variety. Now purchased and repainted, I kinda like it this way better. Just need some bigger road power in the green livery.
