Comments on: A true veteran, OBRY 1000 changed little from the day it rolled off the assembly line other than fresh paint as it moved from owner to owner. It was the OBRY’s first unit and only one to carry the railroads name, the rest would wear full Cando paint. After several years of service along the line to Orangeville it was eventually bumped by rebuilt GP9RM’s and sent to another Cando operation. Sadly a couple years ago it was returned to Manitoba and scrapped. The sight of a leased MP15 on today’s OBRY just doesn’t have the same affect these days as these old Geeps. This day 1000 had just finished working the CP interchange and was on the move northward after a quick coffee stop at a local Tim Hortons.

She's not razor blades just yet... she's buried deep in CEMR's Transcona yard deadline in Winnipeg. Looking forlorn with number boards removed, paint fading but still sporting her OBRY insignia proudly on her side.
