		<description>Great pictures! I worked with an old conductor who switched these mines when they were active. Apparently Garter snakes used to hibernate at these mines and would form into huge balls.The trainmen would tie off the bottom of their pants so the snakes wouldn&#039;t crawl up their pants. He said it was quite unnerving,especially at night.</description>
