With train 580 having likley run out of operating hours, the crew had left the units idling in the yard rather than the engine sidings at the VIA Rail Station waiting for 584s crew to show up. This wasnt that bad as 580 almost made it back to home base (there’s been times when the train was left idling in Guelph) but a bit more walking for 584s crew. This night actually 584 had a very important task to deliver LRV Train 506 to Waterloo for the LRT committee so it’s great that the units were able to make it back to Kitchener at least!
