Comments on: A westbound potash train crosses Emery Creek just outside the Provincial Park with the same name. CP was running a mixture of cars to haul the potash, not the solid sets of Canpotex round hoppers that would be seen on CN.

30 years is hard to believe. That Joni Michell song rings true – we really don’t know what we have until its gone – then and now.
It is hard to believe that they went from ubiquitous SD-40′s to whatever those all-alike GE’s are in such short order.

I’m glad you didn’t take these SDs for granted like they would always be around, Steve, because they are getting rather hard to catch in Sou Ontario these days. All of your images take me back; and I still cannot swallow the fact this all took place 30 yrs ago.
