Comments on: A westbound train, that’s all I knew and it will hit the good light after 6:30 PM in Galt – so I went for my first attempt at the Galt Bridge in 2020 – something I usually only do a couple times a season. Clearance 131 to the the 8918 west, proceed from Begin/End CTC Sign Guelph Junction to Ayr. Rats, but I was in for a penny, may as well go for the pound. Upon arrival I composed my shot, the train turned out to be a single unit wonder, but then I’m thinking, what if it’s DPU? Jackpot! This 651 was also quite interesting, single engine up front, mainfest, a GREX ballast train, more manifest including the usual OMYA cars, more gondolas (pictured), DPU, more manifest, then the usual 651 ethanol cars. A very long train too. 15 years ago it would have been 3 trains :)

Pretty sure the hopper after the DPU were the buffer cars. Still an interesting set up though. I had a friend catch it in Milton.

Quite the variety pack on this one...! Mr. Allen and I both photographed this train (unbeknownst to one another) at Guelph Junction. Nice shot, Host.
