<title>Comments on: After a trip back from downtown Toronto, a stopover was made in downtown Brampton during the afternoon lull period, before the &#8220;GO rush&#8221; began. Afternoons on CN could be slow sometimes (maybe passed by a visit to &#8220;The Little Train Shoppe&#8221; across from the tracks, or Gusto&#8217;s Pizza nearby), but one of the trains that did show up was the daily eastbound Roadrailer (CN train #144), that typically got a single 4- or 6-axle, often an older unit such as a GP40 or SD40 variant. The westbound counterpart (#145, except Friday as #147) was usually an evening train after the GO rush.

Today, we have CN GP40-2L(W) 9523 (fading paint) leading eastbound Roadrailer train #144 through downtown Brampton. The trailers are busy hammering away at the CN-OBRY (ex-CP) diamond with the Owen Sound Spur, as 9523 is just about to pass Mill Street crossing and the nearby station. Snowbanks piled up along Railroad Street often provided a good vantage point, as this area was usually weeded out in the warmer months.

The last CN-NS Triple Crown Roadrailer trains would run in November 2015.</title>
