Comments on: After shooting the northbound PBX (Polar Bear Express) at a location north of Cochrane, it was time to ‘race’ down to Hwy 11 and head west to try and pick up the ONR “Hearst” local as it made its way back to Cochrane. We picked up advance warning by way of chatter on the scanner and had barely a minute to line up this shot at the Groundhog River bridge in Fauquier. It was well worth the trip. The power is ONR 2200, 2102. This train runs three days a week from Cochrane to Kap and on to Hearst and then returns.
One thing about the ONR is one must cover a lot of distance to catch anything, but it is always worth it.

With the sun lighting up a south facing cab, I am taking a stroll down memory lane. Many an issue of Extra 2200 South arrived in my mailbox. A most enjoyable read.
Thanks Arnold. :-)
