Comments on: Again I was chasing post office buildings, and if I am correct I was looking after a contract that required replacing parts of the lobby floor. The Penticton yard on that day had a few cars & locomotives just sitting there quietly. I never saw any activity or CP employees while I was on site so I just walked around and took photographs. Would have loved to enter the roundhouse, but couldn’t find anyone to ask. The van is an older wood van that has been covered in plywood.

I'm guessing CP 401201 which would make it a Jordan Type A, low front blade, broken wing, s/n 858, built in 1952.

Hi James, great photo of that old Jordan spreader. Did you happen to capture the CP running number on the side?
