Comments on: All history now. CN’s Cayuga subdivision was once a thru route not just for CN but NS and it’s predecessors. The 1990’s would claim a lot of the line and by this date the line to the east ended at the east end of Delhi with a lone customer in town still receiving rail service. The St. Thomas Central tourist railroad operated several special trains over the line from St. Thomas back then, which was then operated by the Trillium Railway. When Trillium gave up the line CN discontinued all service east of Courtland due to structural issues with the bridge at Delhi. OSR and GIO Rail have since operated the line but the section to Delhi was never revived and in 2022 the old bridge in Delhi was removed and rails lifted eliminating any chance of service ever returning. This day Essex Terminal #9 has finished running around its train at the end of the line and now leads backwards to St. Thomas. The little switcher was just along for the ride incase ETR 9 had any issues.
