Comments on: An A-B-B-B set of Bessemer & Lake Erie F-units on loan to CN are shown heading eastbound past Burlington station on CN’s Oakville Sub in 1964. CN had a number of B&LE F’s on lease in the mid-late 1960′s period.

We can narrow the timeline for this great photo by checking a few other things. The Halton Sub is not quite complete, note the barrel of spikes, a couple of spike mauls and a pry bar all lying on the track in the immediate right hand corner; Toronto Yard opened in February 1965, and we know CN leased 20 Bessemer A's and B's starting December 1963. 10 of those went to CPR lease in April 1964 but 719A was not one of them. Given the mild looking weather, despite the traces of snow, this has to be early to mid April 1964. Operator Bill Martinell is the employee on the platform. Oh, and it's only Burlington, not Burlington West.
