Comments on: An eastbound C&O train with B&O GP40 3763 and a C&O 42xx GP40-2 is joining the joint track territory on the Conrail (ex-NYC CASO Sub) mainline at St. Thomas ON. Note the train order hoop post to the right of the lead unit, and the semaphore signals to the left.

The semaphores control the interlocking & are operated from BX tower. The amazing thing is that connecting rods mechanically move the semaphore arms from the tower. The signal being displayed is red over yellow,a “restricting signal”.
