Comments on: An eastbound unit train with over a mile of grey covered hoppers, almost devoid of unofficial decoration, is approaching MP 35.5 on the CN Oakville Sub. First car is CEFX 319258 followed by many similar; “Do Not Hammer on Car” notice appeared on every CEFX car.
Apart from daily intermodal train 148, most freight trains I see here are a mixture of car types – infrequently I catch an all-autorack train, very occasionally a train of windmill flatcars, or CWR.
The two leading GE ET44ac Tier-4 units have visibly lower emissions than the trailing Dash 8-40C, and from the amount of exhaust, my guess is that the hoppers are loaded – with what ? Canadian grain doesn’t come this way much, and if it did, one would expect to see some Canada/AB/SK cylindrical grain hoppers.

This was train G89491 04 from Durand, MI off of one of the shortlines (which doesn't make much sense, as the train should've been profiled as G89461 04 in that case...) to Becancour, PQ.

CN ran another one of these soybean trains on November 17th through Southern Ontario. This one was from Ida Grove, IA to Becancour, PQ.

Confirmed elsewhere these were indeed soybean loads.

Bruce, I am assuming it was for Viterra as well.
