Comments on: An LRT train accelerates out of Coliseum Station. That is where the Oilers used to play until the NHL extorted Edmonton into building another arena downtown. Commonwealth Stadium, another sports boondogle may also be seen.
One more editorial. Edmonton put in this LRT line because Calgary had one. Calgary’s went where people lived. Edmonton’s, not so much. It took them forever to get to the University and beyond. I think that it is now a reasonable system.

Edmonton was the first city in Western Canada to build a LRT, and the first in North America for cities under 1-million populous.

Being Sept.25th and seeing no evidence of rain puddles or recent rain, sky is nice and clear. I would put it down to dust from swathing and combining. With weather like this, I bet they were out the evening before until late. Gotta make hay while the sun shines.

Most likely pollution. A lot of cars, some industry, an inversion and little wind. Happened occasionally

Looking rather smoggy around town, too. Is it forest fire smoke? Or just pollution.
