Comments on: Another location I’ve always wanted to photograph but the lighting is usually an issue by the time the train shows up. Luckily cloudy days are good for somethings. This old wooden trestle near the diamond in Woodstock has always intrigued me, and with a nice coating of snow as well as a light mix of fall colours things just fell into place today. The OSR was delayed a bit by some track outside of town and also had to wait for a CN to clear the diamond so it was well after lunchtime before they arrived at the CP interchange. I truly can’t get enough of “F” units in freight service, not to mention a classy paint scheme.

The winds of fortune blow kindly on the F unit. Their pictorial (and work) history continues in 2019. When they were being cleared from rosters, I expected to only find them as stationary monuments or operating at museums. The 6508's paint job is perfect for a cloudy day photo.
