Here, Georgetown line train #207 (the 4:45pm from Toronto making all stops, our ride home) powered by GO Transit F59PH 538 departs in the rain, past the station building as umbrella-toting commuters head for the stairwells and elevators. The old Bramalea station, a unique and interesting low-profile mid-70′s building original to the opening of the line in 1974, would be demolished in 2021 and replaced with a new Metrolinx-style GO station, bus terminal, and very large parking garage. There was some interesting wooden truss work under that roof, which always seemed to be missing a few of those light green shingles (chic for the era, no doubt). A bit of a shame there was never a station-side platform for easier access.
