Comments on: Another view of Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 “Royal Hudson” 2839 in front of the water tower at Lambton Yard in February of 1960, near the end of the steam era, after serving as a pusher on a freight to Orr’s Lake. By then, CP had run an “offical” last steam train out of Toronto, but steam did survive for a few months after in remote terminals like Port McNicoll, or as helpers. The cab of MLW S4 7100 is visible to the right, one of a handful of diesel switcher units assigned Lambton Yard for yard switching and local duties.
