The locomotives he photographed would soon be destined for the scrap yard – the rust and faded paint confirmed that their days were numbered. It wouldn’t be long before the station disappeared as well. In 2010, the CPR abandoned the Pembroke rail lines – negotiations are currently under way to make this a public walking trail.
