VIA has been replacing the seats in their LRC cars with the new 50/50 seating arrangement, the intention being that the trains will not have to turn around when they reach their final destination, just reverse direction. I have heard that to accomplish this, the plan is to run trains with locomotives at both ends. Currently, the schedule does not seem to have the extra trains that this setup is supposed to allow (most likely to happen later this year or early next), so the trains are still being turned around at the end of the line.
