I find this image interesting as the plume is 200 feet wide indicating unusually light snow. The plow extra is approaching the DeBruyen family farm in Salford headed to Tillsonburg. Photo taken with a telephoto lens, which is the tool of choice for plow shooting. Stand way back if you have a wide angle, it’s dangerous to be too close. And a bit of shameless self promotion – I was lucky enough to have an article in the current (December 2015) TRAINS magazine on plowing in Ontario, if you haven’t had a look please do, no spoilers, but it’s a different angle on the subject and contains photos that have not been previously published anywhere.
