Comments on: At only 1720 feet (or 19 cars), CP 246 has had no problem getting up to speed after dropping a few cars off at Utopia. For power is CP 9765, 9661, 9653, 6009 and CEFX 6537. 6009 and 6537 had gone through on 247 only yesterday, but was ready for 246 the next morning in Sudbury. 246′s pathetic length will change at Spence, as its got many autoracks to pick up. Doing what a GE does best, 9653 in third looks like it’s pulling the entire train. CEFX 6537, the reason I went to see this, is the only dead unit however. It will be dropped off at Spence. It will be interesting to see what CP decides to do with it. Performing the Honda Job at Spence is high on my list of wants, but I don’t see CP using a leasing unit for yard power. Maybe though, who knows.

Wondering if this is the same 6537 (it was in maroon) that toiled on the GEXR about 8 or 10 years ago.
